Welcome to vom Adlerberg Deutsch Kurzhaars!
Vom Adlerberg was established because of the love for the Deutsch Kurzhaar (German Shorthair) breed and in appreciation of a true versatile hunting dog. It is our goal to produce Deutsch Kurzhaars (DKs) through honest, quality breeding focusing on soundness, characteristics, temperament and testing.
It is our interest to produce dogs that have a true desire for all things sought in a versatile hunting dog rather than a dog that can simply be taught those things.
We personally train, handle, and hunt our DKs as opposed to sending them to professionals. As a breeder, we feel that this gives necessary insight to our dog's capabilities, to be trained and handled by "regular hunters" like ourselves.

We are members of the NADKC, VCDKK, JGV-USA, JGV-RM, VDD-GNA, NAJGV, and a DKV registered kennel. Membership in one of these German sanctioned clubs will allow our new Deutsch Kurzhaar owners access to training clinics, field tests, years of experience and knowledge from other members.
